How can Multiple users Manage a Single Adsense Account?

share Google AdSense account with others!
Google AdSense is the leading and most popular ad service that bloggers make use of. It can be used with any Blogger or self-hosted blog or website, and is indeed a major source of income for most bloggers. Previously, Google AdSense could only be accessed by one account, which cause problems for blogs that are run by more than one person, because revenue-sharing is a critical issue. To achieve that end, Google has just released multiple accounts integration with Google AdSense. Now, you can share your AdSense account with your friends, family, or business partners. You can use access levels to control who gets what sort of authority in your AdSense account. In this post, we'll talk about how you can send invites, and give multiple access levels to people.

What can others access in your account?

You will have to send an invite to someone if you want to grant them access to your account. You can grant users with either of the two access levels, Standard or Administrator. Both these users can view, edit, or manage any part of that account. But here are the differences.
  • Standard users can't see a list of users who have access to that account while Administrators can.
  • Administrators can give out account access and change a user's access level, but standard users can not.

Invite others to your account

To invite a user to your account, simply sign into your AdSense account and then under your Home tab, open up Account Settings from the left panel.

Go to Access and authorization, and fill in email addresses in the Users with sign in accesssection. Now simply click on Invite. The user will be added with status pending until they accept your invite.

This Users with sign in access section will list all the users that have access to your account.

Remember: For someone to to able to access your account, they need to have a Google Account. Furthermore, people who already have Google AdSense accounts of their own can't access other accounts.

Change or revoke access to your account

To stop someone from accessing your account, simply go to Access and authorization in your Account Settings. In the Users with sign in access section, you will see a cross (x) button next to each user. Clicking on this cross will result in the user's removal. That user will be notified of this change via email, so no secret here :)

Also from the same section, you can change access level for any user. By default, all users are Standard, with the Administrator box unchecked. Checking this box for a user will provide them Administrator privileges, while unchecking this box will reduce their privileges.

Why we needed this feature?

Not every blog or website is run by a single person. This created a problem for all the share holders. Either one of them had to sign up for Google AdSense through his own Google Account, or they'd have to create a new universal Google Account. In the first case, the person with the AdSense account compromises his privacy, while in the other case, the account loses integration to other Google services that the blog owners might have previously signed up for (such as Google Plus). This new feature solves the problems I am sure many co-founders must have been facing.

Google has been pretty active recently. It recently introduced features for merging two Google+ accounts together, and also connecting Blogger accounts with Google+. And now, there's this. It is good to see Google busy. And hopefully, we'll soon see more such integration options for other services. So stay tuned for more such updates! Good day! :)

How to Automatically Share Blog Updates on Google Plus?

Sharing blogger posts on google+
Social Media promotion is every blogger's need. If a blog is an engine, then social media acts like a lubricant, without which a blog would stall. This is why bloggers need toshare their awesome content so that people around the world can know about it. To that effect, Google is trying to help out bloggers by ruffling quite some feathers. Recently, Google released the Google Takeout service that lets you merge two Google Plus accounts together. Now, you can connect your Google Plusaccount with Blogger to easily share your posts and also gain recognition for your work on social media. A share box will automatically appear when you publish a post, with which you can instantly share your content with the world! We'll look at how we can do this in this post.

Please note: This service is for Blogger blog only. It isn't available for WordPress or TypePad or any other publishing platform blogs. Also, Google makes it pretty clear that this feature is not available for you if you have adult content on your blog. This is Google's way to keep its social channel clean, which is a good thing.

Connecting Blogger With Google Plus

This trick will work only if you have your Google+ and Blogger profiles under the same Google Account with a common name. If both your profiles are under one account, then you are in luck. Simply log in to your blogger account, and go to your blog dashboard. In the top-right region of your screen, you will see a cog icon.
connect to Google+
Clicking on the cog,  you will see an option to Connect to Google+. Click on that, and you will see a confirmation screen.

switch blogger profile to google plus

You are ready to make the switch. Just check the "I've read...." box and click switch.

If in the future, you want to disconnect the two accounts and revert to your Blogger profile, you can simply use the cog icon again, and there'll be an option to disconnect the two accounts.

Sharing posts

Once your posts are linked, you will see an option to share your posts right from your Blogger dashboard. This will also let you share your posts whenever you want, without having to deal with auto pop-ups.

share-link-in-posts

Besides this, whenever you publish a post, you will see a pop-up box appear that has sharing options. It is pre-filled for your ease, and you can add a comment as you like. You can also choose which circles you want to share the post with. By default, the option will be set to Public.

If you don't like this sharing box, and if it's annoying you, you can simply disable it by going into Settings >> Posts and Comments.

googleplus settings for blogger

That's about it. You can take advantage from this feature to easily share your content without having to manually go to your published pages and then using the available sharing widgets. If you want automation, you can use an app such as HootSuite. If you have question regarding this post, feel free to ask :)

Why You Are Lucky That You Started Blogging In 2012?

No, we aren't going to talk about doomsday predictions here, nothing of the sort. But we are gonna talk about how you can start a new life in the world of blogging (ironic huh?). Blogging is becoming more and more common these days. There's a blog about virtually everything. And not without reason.Blogging is a great way to express and share your thoughts with the world. Most use a blog to earn money. In fact, a blog is one of the best ways you can earn money online. And businesses use blogs to promote their products and services, and grow a customer/audience base. A blog is a major tool for promoting a brand. Hence, there are lots of benefits of blogging, especially in this era. If you don't already have a blog, now would be the best time to start!

There are so many blogs out there that some people think they are just adding to the noise. And we totally agree. There are literally tonnes of blogs that are low quality, poorly written, not very actively maintained, or worst of all, are spammy. But just because there are cheap blogs out there doesn't mean it is a reason not to start blogging. Which brings us to the question of the day; Why should you start blogging? Why now, and not later?

The competition is growing!

Don't let that hinder you! Blogging is on the rise! If you don't go along with the wave, you will get left behind! It is estimated that hundreds of blogs are published every minute! You should create one too before it is so late that you are unable to surface. Also, domains are being scooped up really fast. Who knows, the domain you want to register today might be gone tomorrow? Start blogging now!

Internet services have increased

There are tonnes of services out there that will help you instantly create a website or blog. Free publishing platforms such as Blogger, WordPress etc are the most widely used. Other than that, you can easily buy hosting and domain from services such as HostGator, which also provide free site builder tools for you to get your site up and running. There are other such internet services which makes life easier for bloggers. So why hesitate when you can get job done as easily as ever?

Google policy changes, now means business

This is the most important point I want to discuss about. Google changes its algorithm almost each year.  This year, it was the Penguin while last year, it was the Panda. Both these updates wrecked havoc among many websites and blogs. Before Penguin, people didn't know what to do, and how to recover. But now, after Penguin, Google has made it pretty clear that low quality websites or sites with cheap or fake backlinks are going to be punished. This impacted a lot of bloggers, who now have to work very hard to increase quality throughout their sites.

Google doesn't like being disturbed

But for those wanting to start now, this could prove to be beneficial. They now know what Google wants. They won't be penalized. And so, they can start with a fresh, clean record. Old bloggers will need to fish out their old, low quality posts while new bloggers will have no such problem! :)

Start today, earn tomorrow!

If you're into this stuff, then there's really no reason to hold back. If you start today, you will start earning tomorrow. Little by little, you can build your blog into a brand and start making money. Don't hesitate about the time it'll take, because it will always take a lot of time, and effort. That's the secret to blogging actually. Time, and effort. Put in both, and over time, you'll see vivid results.

Always remember that everyone has to start from zero. Even pro-bloggers started from zero, years and years ago. Some blogs are as old as 6 years old. And their efforts have finally paid off. Now, they are earning thousands of dollars monthly! Who knows, you could be the pro-blogger everyone looks up to in four year's time? :)

How To Merge & Manage Two Google Plus accounts Together?

merge two Google+ accounts together
When Google Plus originally started out more than an year ago, it was somewhat exclusive to Gmail accounts. most people signed up using their Gmail accounts, which might not have been their primary accounts. So they ended up with their Google+ operating on one Google account, and other serviceson another. In such a scenario, managing multiple Google+ accounts can be a headache, especially since you need to log out of one to use the other (unless you're comfortable with changing your browser). An any case, you might end up having two Google+ profiles, with similar friends, or more followers on the account you do not want. Well now, there's a solution for you. You can merge your Google+ accounts together into one, so you can easily manage your circles, posts, photos, and more!

Google didn't offer this kind of functionality before. But now, you have a good option. Using Google Takeout, you can merge any two accounts together. You just need to figure out your Source and Destination accounts. Google Takeout will take all the information from your Takeout account, and merge it into the Destination account. Hence, the Source account will be removed, and the Destination account will remain, an amalgam of the two profiles.

What will be transferred?

The Source account will be gone. But its circles will stay, and will be merged with the Destination account. Anyone you have blocked or ignored will also be blocked or ignored in the Destination account. Circles with same names will be merged. Your contacts, +1s, docs etc will also be transferred. This service, however, will not transfer profile information, posts, and comments. Unfortunately, it will also not transfer your Google+ pages, although you will be able to set up multiple admins for a page in the near future.

How to merge accounts?

First, log into Google Takeout using your Source account. Once you log in, you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Google Takeout home

Click on Transfer your Google+ connection to another account. Then, you'll be prompted to sign into your Destination account. Once you sign in, you'll just need to verify your information for both accounts. After that, you can begin the transfer.

That's all there is to it! Just sit back and wait for Google to merge your accounts!

Some things to remember

As said earlier, your Google+ pages won't be transferred, so you might lose them. And as far as the waiting period is concerned, it will take around a week for Google to merge your accounts. During this time, if you decide to pull out of the deal, you can simply cancel the process if it hasn't already been started by Google. You will know by going into your Source account, where you will see a button to Cancel Transfer.

Make sure you get the Source an Destination right, and not the other way around. Otherwise, you can rectify your mistake only after six months. This is a relatively new service, and we are hoping Google will improve it soon and reduce the waiting period. And we'd also very much like to see improvements in Google+ page structures. However, in the meantime, you enjoy socializing and stay tuned for more updates on Google Plus. Cheers :)

Find out whether a Link is Safe without Clicking on It

Check safety of links before clicking on them
Cyber attacks are on the rise these days. And most of them come through links and web pages that a user opens. While anti-virus software can protect you up to a certain extent, there is no software in this world that can protect you from everything, no matter how good or how expensive it is. Scams and hacks evolve with technology, and most of the time, they remain a few step ahead of security companies. Usually, it starts with an innocent-looking link found on a website or passed on to someone by another person either intentionally or otherwise. These links can provide the entry way for malware and cyber criminals to access your personal information or hack your computer for other malicious purposes. So most of the time, it falls on the users to protect themselves. Well, you can scan these suspicious links before you click on them. Here's how.

Use Link Scanners - URLVoid

First and foremost, you can simply use a free link scanner service to check whether a URL is clean or not. These are plugins or websites that run scans on the link you enter, and verify their integrity by using some third party services. One such good link scanner is URLVoid, which uses third party services such as Google, Norton SafeWeb etc. Just go to the website, and paste your URL there, and it will tell you whether it is safe or not.

URLVoid

Sucuri SiteCheck

Sucuri SiteCheck is another great scanning service. You might have seen shortened URLs on Twitter and Facebook from websites like bitly (bit.ly/...), Google (gg.gg/...), TinyURL (tinyurl.com/...) and so on. Ordinary link scanners such as URLVoid can't properly scan these URLs, because these are redirect links. Hence, URLVoid only checks the website that is redirecting, such as bitly or TinyUrl. It can not check the actual URL. This is where Sucuri comes in useful. It will expand the URL and check it using again some third party services like Norton, PhishTank, Google etc. Sucuri will also check non-shortened URLs for you.

Sucuri SiteCheck

Look at the URL itself

Sometimes, malicious URLs can be hidden with innocent anchor text. For example, Home Page and http://trikitricks.blogspot.com/, both point to our home page. But while one lets me know immediately what it points to, the other can contain anything. It is always best to hover over the links to know what they are. Hovering will let you see their full URL.

Install a plug-in

To save yourself all that trouble of vising other websites, you can simply install a browser plug-in. one of the best plug-ins are provided by World of Trust. It is really easy to set up, and easy to use. With this plugin, you will hopefully never open a bad link again.

Those were some ways you could check for 'bad' links. Hope they will keep you safe. Keep in mind though, to always copy links by right-clicking on them and clicking on "Copy link address". Sometimes, while copying manually, people often end up clicking on the link itself, which is exactly what you don't want. Just take our advice, and you'll be fine. Stay safe :)

If you are a freelancer by profession, you must be facing such situations in your contract intervals. I recently lost one of my contracts and thought of sharing the tips that I have been implementing I my life to keep it going smooth to ensure a positive change with everything coming its way.
Here are 50 tips to keep you engaged in productive things while still looking for a job.

1. Fix up Yourself

The thought of being unemployed is a disaster for sure. The first thing you need to do is to tell yourself that this is temporary and this time is a blessing for you to recover your personality that has been affected by continuous working. This increases the chance of getting a better job than your previous one.

7 effective Tips To Keep You Focused While Blogging

7 tips to keep you focused in blogging
Blogging, when chosen as a profession, requires you to stay focused at all times in order to ensure steady earnings. However, today when one can surely not stop himself from socializing, writing a post for your blog without getting been distracted is impossible. The fact still persists that when you claim to your readers that your blog offers content free of flaws, you need to make sure that you meet up the promises and declarations you have made. The posts you write for your blog need only two things, one- you must know the basic ethics of blogging to attract traffic, and second, your Concentration!

Being a blogger myself, it is easy to relate with my readers on this topic. There are thousands of things to distract while you are working on your post; however only one thing that keeps you motivating is the charm of money being generated from your work.
Therefore, here are 7 simple tips to keep you focused and make your blogging career more productive!

1) Turn Your Phone Silent and maintain distance!

This is not something new for you, right? Turning your cell phones to silent mode is an ethical thing to do and the first instruction given in any conference, seminar or meeting that you attend elsewhere. There is no need to tell you how your cell phone distracts you from everything you are doing, but your blog is a serious business as you earn with it. Keeping your phone on silent mode is extremely necessary when you are engaged in writing your articles because the unwanted beeps of your messages and the unexpected calls can always make you forget the points that you just had in your mind.
Making it silent doesn’t work only. Not at least for me! Even if the beeps are off, the frustrating vibrations of texts also play an equal role in distracting you. It’s a productive practice to keep your cell phone some distance away from you with a silent mode. However checking it after, let us say, an hour to know about urgent updates is a genuine thing and can be accepted.

2) Boycott Social Networks

I have been a victim here too. In my last post, I did mention that I do switch to my Facebook very often while I feel irritated with continuous hours of typing. I am working myself to get rid of it and would suggest the same to you, while you are writing for your blog. The reason behind this is obvious, there is no point of checking your Facebook Notifications or Your Twitter updates when your post is incomplete. The power of social media is inevitable, take the example of Facebook, it diverts your mind in no time, creating a spell for you where its highly difficult to come out of it soon. You can always comment on your pictures later, but you cannot publish your post after the time that is decided as your blog’s policy. Therefore boycott your Facebook, Twitter, Google+ accounts and use them constructively AFTER publishing your post to promote your articles!

3) No Chats- You are Busy, Remember?

Although I never do this, I have seen my colleagues in office that throughout the time their machine is on, their IM messengers are always running at backend. Keeping yourself connected to your loved ones is definitely a good thing, but life is all about managing time. There is n sense of getting being poked by your friend who is sitting at home, looking for people to keep him entertained, when you still have a lot of tasks and deadlines to meet. Isn’t it frustrating enough when a nudge sent by your friend, brings an earthquake on your screen, hindering your typing and bringing the chat box at front? Certainly it is! You see, it’s your mistake that you have given people a chance to distract you from your work, and in the end, no one suffers, but you only!
Keep yourself signed out while you are working.

4) Say No to Email Notifications!

Keeping a check of your emails is extremely important in your blogging profession. Many bloggers find it difficult to stay away from their email clients and notifications, keeping a check on every single move of their career. Fair enough! But the point here is still the same; your minds get diverted badly to other things when the screen in front of you changes. The tabs of your browsers are different worlds for you. Switching in between them takes you to different worlds too, making you forget what you were previously up to.
If checking your inbox is too important for you, then better do so maintaining a fixed interval.

5) Make a time table-FOLLOW IT!

It’s a pity that most of us either do not schedule our lives, if someone is smart enough to understand its importance and makes a time plan, he doesn’t follow it. Make it your habit to plan your day at its start. No matter whether you are a school going fellow are a business man, you need to decide things for your day. It’s only possible to manage your time if you know your engagements of that day. When it comes to your blogging time table, you know that your publishing time is your deadline and the post has to be done at least an hour before it. It’s always recommended by professional bloggers to make a schedule to keep the things in control.

6) Take Help to keep yourself Turned ON

Distracting from tasks, feeling down and bored from continuous working and having severe headaches is something natural. It happens with all of us. Importance of Reputation Management for Your Blog and Online Business

Protect your internet reputationThanks to the power of search results, the internet is an interactive space and your blog or website is a part of it. Businesses and blogs that are just starting out have to consider all sorts of different content strategies to ensure their success. Search results are an important factor in yoursite’s popularity and the successes you will see with it. Search results are awarded to websites for a number of different measurements. One of those is “off-site content” and it accounts for a major portion of your site’s reputation.

Having positive off-site content pointing back to your website—like social media shares and citations in other blogs—will send your website to the top. Having negative off-site content can actually hurt your webpage, and even drop it in search results. Anyone can hop on the internet and post negative content about your business or your blog and you have to protect yourself from these attacks.

Internet Reputation Management Protects Your Website

Online reputation management is an important new practice that focuses on the quality of off-site content pointing back to your blog or business webpage. Managing your online reputation means that you are proactively keeping tabs on your search results, social media mentions, and how people share and repurpose your content across the internet. Sometimes, internet reputation managers find that their website is doing just fine, and that there is lots of positive content and supportive sentiment behind their brand.
Other times, reputation managers find the opposite: negative content is being directly associated with their website through other websites and services. Whether your business receives a bad review online, a social media user hits your blog with a public complaint, or someone is actively starting an online campaign to make you and your business look bad, negative content is reflected in search results. The impact of negative content can damage your website in a number of ways. Negative, reputation-damaging information can rank immediately above your own website, making your business or blog look even worse. It can also make Google’s algorithms reduce your overall page ranking.
Without internet reputation management, negative online content can be hard to recover from.

The Best Defense against Online Reputation Damage is Better Preparation

If you are entering a competitive space online, you should prepare your blog and your livelihood with a good protection plan against negative content online. Negativity can come from many unexpected places, but if you have a general plan of action and mitigation strategy to deal with it, the impact won’t be nearly as severe. Many established blogs and businesses understand the power and value of adequate internet reputation management, but only after realizing they needed it.is your privacy protected?Businesses and bloggers typically do not prepare themselves to monitor and fix damage to their reputation until a crisis happens. A major campaign can backfire, an upset visitor can cause problems among the greater internet community, and even outside occurrences like staff arrests and high-profile public incidents can have a negative impact on your website. Waiting until a problem arises can put your website at risk, so your best solution is to prepare yourself and your website for these incidents before they happen.

Protecting Your Website with Simple Reputation Management Techniques

You can take charge of your online reputation management with a few simple tricks.
First, if you have a physical business, claim it on social review websites. Fill out your business’s information on websites like Yelp.com, Google, Facebook, Twitter, and any other sites that feature social or community interaction. By claiming ownership online, you can fully control how people view your company in search results. Bloggers can also benefit from this by establishing social media profiles for themselves that help share blog posts and interact with your community.
Searching for your business or blog name online is another good way to see what people are saying about you. If someone online addresses your blog or you personally online, even if it isn’t directly to you, you can find it with a few simple searches. Searching for your brand name can show you how visitors see your blog, and can even open up new opportunities for outreach and growth. Searching for yourself can also reveal negative content that may potentially be turning people away from you.
Google’s new “Me on the Web” feature of Google Dashboard is an excellent tool for anyone that wants to track their online reputation quickly and easily.
These may sound like simple suggestions, but they are the foundation for a successfully monitored and managed internet reputation. Frequent monitoring can protect you from almost any negative content.

Internet Reputation Services Support Personal and Professional Success

There are many situations where negative content is simply out of your control. A post on a review site cannot be responded to or taken down, or an upset visitor cannot be appeased. Leaving these negative contents online can severely damage your good name in the long-term. Fortunately, there are online services that can provide your blog or business with excellent reputation management strategies that can repair any problematic content.
These companies understand how search engines work and how to contact webmasters and content producers to remove negative content from the internet. They use proven methods and techniques that can remove or displace negative content from the internet, and they can even replace it with positive content that reinforces your message.
Many successful corporations have practiced reputation management for years. Thanks to the internet, reputation management is much more valuable than ever before and it is also easier for individuals to practice for themselves. With these guidelines, you can startmanaging your online reputation today. If a crisis comes your way and you need serious help, internet reputation management experts are ready for you.
